Cherif Omar was born on December 2, 1980. Following his undergraduate education in Sustainable Business Strategy at Harvard Business School Online, he successfully completed his Doctorate in Pharmacy at Alexandria University Faculty of Pharmacy in 2004.
He started his corporate career in 2004 at Unilever, where he held positions such as Commercial Category Manager and Brand Manager for seven countries. During this period, he introduced eight new category products to the market at various times. In 2012, he joined Novartis Consumer Health as the Marketing Director for the Africa and Middle East Region. In this role, he took on the responsibility of consumer and commercial marketing for more than 50 countries in the specified geography. In 2014, within Sanofi Consumer Health, Omar served as the General Manager for Northeast Africa and has been fulfilling the role of General Manager for Sanofi Consumer Health Turkiye since 2021.
Throughout his professional journey, he has been recognized with awards for the best brand campaign, the highest volume increase across the region, excellent budget management, and various global project achievements
